How To Astral Travel
The astral body is an invisible structure that acts as a bridge between the physical world and the world of spirit. When you are awake the astral body is within your physical body, however, as you fall asleep, the astral body separates itself and hovers an inch or two above your physical body. When you wake up with a start and feel disoriented, this is because the astral body has slammed back into your physical body. (The jump) And they have not properly aligned themselves. (Feeling out of sorts.)
During sleep, the astral body can cross into the spirit world (Astral Travel). Sometimes we have 'lucid' dreams that seem very real. You may meet loved ones who have died, and you can see, hear, smell, taste and touch everything during these dreams. These dreams are almost always remembered quite clearly.
When you are on the astral plane you may encounter wise beings that reveal deeper aspects of their life and long-forgotten wisdom. (Remember, our souls are wise beyond their present earth years.) You also experience things differently on the astral plane. All you have to do is think of a place and you are there! And any image that you think of will materialize. Astral travel often changes people in profound ways. The feeling of being outside of your physical body gives you a new perspective on life. Visiting astral worlds gives you an idea of what the spirit world is about and reassures you of life after physical death.
EXERCISE:
- Go to a quiet room and lay or sit down so that you are comfortable. Focus on each area of your body and consciously relax it. Start from your toes and work your way up, all the while allowing your breathing to become soft and even. You'll want to be psychically protected from any negative experiences, and you can do this by calling upon a spirit guide or angel. Kindly request your guide to assist you while you are on the astral plane.
- At this point you should feel relaxed, yet mentally alert. Focus on where you want to go, who you want to see, or what you want to achieve while on your journey. Visualize a door some distance away and hurl yourself against it. This door represents the pineal door of the third eye.
- If you succeed in getting through the door, you will be surrounded with a golden light. As long as you don't fall asleep, you can step out of your physical body just as if you were climbing out of bed. You will be aware that your mind is awake while your body is sleeping.
- Once you are on the astral plane, let yourself go to wherever your spirit guides you. It will take some time to get used to your surroundings, so just accept what happens. Remember, your spirit guide/angel will protect from any negative experiences. You are perfectly safe and will automatically return to your physical body when you are ready.
- When you return, write down in a journal what you experienced. Practice this daily or at least a few times a week.
